Originally appearing about a decade ago, the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” PE came at the height of the Nike LeBron mania. His tenure in Miami coincided with the days when LeBrons was the most coveted sneaker on the market, with various not-for-sale items such as the Givenchy-inspired design only fueling demand for King’s Kicks. Only a handful were made and distributed to Friends And Family, which likely included Jay-Z, Kanye West, and many more in LeBron’s inner circle. However, some pairs have still been disclosed to the public, with pairs going north of $ 10,000.
The nickname “Watch The Throne” attributed to this design is derived from the artwork from the dynamic duo’s epic album; it featured a golden engraving inspired by masculinity and power and designed by Riccardo Tisci de Givenchy. Now, official images of the Nike LeBron 9 “Watch The Throne” have surfaced, essentially promising a retail release very soon. A release date has yet to be revealed, but a drop to that stature will surely make the most feverish LeBron collectors of the past stand out while also attracting modern sneakerheads.
The LeBron 9 is said to be back in 2021 as part of the silhouette’s 10th anniversary, with more chances on the release list leading to 2022.
