The 90s were dubbed the last golden age of basketball shoes until the early 2010s when Nike Basketball in particular couldn’t be missing. Meanwhile, LeBron James’ signature line was searing as he moved from Cleveland to Miami. His first shoe as a member of the Heat was the Nike LeBron 8, best known for its eye-catching âSouth Beachâ colourway. However, the model was also treated with some highly sought-after exclusive makeups for samples and gamers that weren’t readily available to the public, one of which would make its retail debut next year.
According to Soleheatonfeet, the âHWCâ LeBron 8 will be released in early 2021. The shoe features a royal, orange and white scheme that is often linked to the New York Knicks, but is actually linked to the returning Cleveland Cavaliers uniforms. There was some traction on the “Knicks” moniker at the time due to James’ supposed interest in playing Mecca, but that never became a reality.
Pictures of the 2021 version have yet to surface, but all signs point to an almost exact retro of the original. We will keep you posted in the coming months.
UPDATE (04/07): The Nike LeBron 8 âHWCâ is slated for release next week on Wednesday April 14 for a retail price of $ 200 from SNKRS and select Nike Sportswear retailers.
UPDATE (04/13): Originally listed for release tomorrow, April 14, Nike confirmed on the app that the âHWCâ LeBron 8 is now releasing April 28 via SNKRS and at select retailers for $ 200.
