LeBron James may not have started as usual in the 2021-22 NBA season, but “the Akron kid” and his Swoosh family continue with the Nike LeBron 19 line. Recently, the ultra-cushioning silhouette appeared filled with leopard prints, possibly a nod to the Los Angeles Lakers superstar’s killer instinct.
Unveiled before the movie “Space Jam: A New Legacy”, James’ 19th signature basketball shoe retains the high cut of the latest models and pairs it with Air Max unit grips on the upper and sole. Synthetic and textile components found in most sneakers opt for different shades of white and black, while the mesh base visible at the tongue and through the profile overlays reveals an orange leopard print; miniature swooshes on the side heel and “LJ” logos near the vamp follow suit. Underfoot the wild styling choice is ditched, but the Dual Chamber Air proposition and rugged tread solution make their own statements.
An official Nike.com US release date has not been confirmed for the pair, but that is likely to change soon. Either way, enjoy the sneaker images below.
Elsewhere under the Nike banner, the Air Max 1 is expected to celebrate its 35th anniversary throughout 2022.
