âFast foodâ and âpro athletesâ might seem like an odd couple, but LeBron James is referring to burgers, fries, pizza and other items on his latest Nike LeBron 19.
With much of Air Max’s (over) cushioned silhouette left to a âcolorlessâ look, the sneaker arguably fulfills its role as a reminder of current Los Angeles Lakers history with fast food. The playful graphics printed on the pair’s mesh base – which culminates at the tongue and behind the semi-translucent panels on the upper – seem to nod to Wendy’s James, Chris Bosh and the rest of the crew. The Team USA basketball team eaten at a gas station in 2008 in a video captured and shared on the Internet. Infrared-like laces and crown logos join the mix, the latter certainly making comparisons to Burger King’s headgear. The brown cut around the tongue and heel absolutely conjures up the image of Angus beef, which James might not eat every night but enjoys every now and then.
Enjoy the official images of the pair below, and anticipate a Nike.com launch in the first half of the new year.
Elsewhere under NIKE, Inc., 14 retros have been confirmed as part of the Air Jordan Spring 2022 collection.
