Tyrese Haliburton’s rookie year just keeps getting better.
He excelled in the field, and now he can sport the swoosh for years to come. The young goalkeeper has signed a shoe deal with Nike, ESPN’s Nick DePaula reported on Monday.
Haliburton wore rare and custom Nike shoes throughout the season. But a signature shoe is not yet in store.
“I’m not that nice yet, I’m not that nice yet,” Haliburton said, laughing Monday night when asked if he had his own signature shoe afterwards. the Kings victory 113-106 on the Dallas Mavericks. “Maybe someday, maybe someday.
“I’m just happy to be partnering with Nike. I’ve worn Nike all my life. So that’s really cool for me. Kind of like a dream come true, I’m excited about it. Said, it’s just really cool. I’ve worn them all my life, so cool they trust me and love me enough to be part of the brand. ”
Haliburton had another impressive performance Monday night in the Kings victory, scoring 14 points along with 10 assists and five rebounds. He is now averaging 12.8 points, 5.2 assists and 3.0 rebounds to start his Kings campaign.
If he continues like this, don’t be surprised by the signature Haliburton shoe in the near future.
